Dragon Vs Tiger, CBA All-star Competition
April 1 saw an all-star CBA competition staged in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province. The two head-coaches of the Dragon and Tiger Teams are respectively Wang Fei from Bayi Rocket known as "Grim-faced Young Commander" and Li Qiuping from Shanghai Shark nicknamed as "Little Zhuge Liang". Because Wang Zhizhi had left for the US to join the NBA, So the Dragon has lost one of its mainstays before the combat was started.

The competition was divided into four sections with some performances staged at each interval and the middle of the match was featured with the show of Slam Dunk and basketball shootout. The Tiger team with Yao Ming, Li Yudong etc. availing themselves of the height, soon surpassed the Dragon with 10 more points. The Dragon tended to score victory by 93-92 twenty seconds before the match came to an end. However, Liu Yudong shot a three-point shot to beat the Dragon by 95 versus 93.

Liu Yudong was awarded MVP of all-star CBA match. Rod Gregoire carried away the King of Slam Dunk, and this time, the title of Long Shot King went to Li Nan, the King of Slam Dunk last time.
