World Top Tenors Concert Ticket Prices Fixed: US$12-1600

The world top three tenors Lucianno Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras will perform and sing their praises of the Forbidden City's 2008 Olympic Bid on June 23.

According to the China National Culture & Arts Corporation, the ticket prices of the joint concert have been fixed from 12-1600 US dollars, with the high-price tickets accounting for 5 percent, medium-price tickets 7.5 percent with 12.5 percent for low-price tickets and 75 percent of extremely low-price tickets for civilians. In addition, some honored seats will also be kept for supporters in line with the international practice.

At the Meridian Gate Square, the ticket prices will be US$60-1600 for nearly 20,000 audiences who will appreciate on-the-spot performance of the world top three tenors. And at the Zhongshan Park and the Cultural Palace for Working People, live broadcast of the concert will be provided on wide-screen TV sets to over 30,000 audiences in each place. The audiences there may also enjoy on-the-spot performances by China's top six tenors. The ticket prices will be 12-36 US dollar. And some teachers and students of art academies will be free to enjoy the concert, according to the sponsor.

Joint Concert by Top Three Tenors to be Held on Schedule

The world's top three tenors - Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras - have recently affirmed that their joint concert set at China's imperial Forbidden City will be staged according to schedule.

The concert, slated for June 23 - International Olympic Day - will be the first joint performance by the three in China and distinguished statesmen and celebrities worldwide will be on the guest list, according to the organizer.
