US Plane Crash Injures Five People

Five people were injured as a small plane carrying 22 skydivers crashed in an airfield east of Decatur in Texas State of the United States Saturday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.

There were no fatalities, said a FAA spokeswoman in Fort Worth of Texas.

The injured passengers were taken by medical helicopter to area hospitals. One was listed in serious condition.

The crash took place about 12:30 p.m. local time near Bishop Field, a small grass runway airport about 15 kilometers east of Decatur, according to television stations KXAS and WFAA in Texas.

Camera footage showed the crumpled, single-engine plane near a cluster of trees.

Decatur is about 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Worth.
