New Through Ticket for Museums in Beijing
The Chinese capital, also a cultural center with many sites of historical interest, began selling Friday a newly designed through tickets for over 120 museums and cultural sites in the city.
Each yearly ticket costs 120 yuan (US$14.5), and ticket holders can visit 123 famous cultural sites, up from 54 sites in the past.
The 123 sites includes 73 museums around the city as well as some new tourist attractions such as the ruined part of Badaling Great Wall, China Rosewood Museum, and the Tank Museum.
Through tickets for museums have been offered to local citizens for a decade.
The city has 112 museums and thousands of cultural and historical sites.
