Jinan Technological Park for Overseas Investment

East China's Shandong Province has launched this week the construction of its first technological and industrial park for overseas investment in Jinan, the provincial capital.

The initial phase of the park covers an area of 30 hectares and is located close to Jinan International Airport, the city's ring expressway and the Jinan-Qingdao Expressway.

Qingdao is a scenic port city and another economic engine in the province.

The park will build workshops in accordance with international standards, office buildings, clerks' apartments, residences for managerial level officials, bonded warehouses, schools, supermarkets and recreational facilities, local official sources said.

The park will also provide various services to help overseas investors get through all necessary formalities to run a business in the country.

Some investment programs are expected to be signed soon with enterprises from about 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Singapore and Germany, the sources said.
