US, Kenyan Army to Start Joint Training in KenyaSenior military officers from Kenya and 40 US marines are due to start a six-week joint training in Kenya, the East African Standard newspaper reported Friday.They will meet at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club to start the exercise which aims at enhancing Kenya's ability to work effectively with other African states in case of humanitarian crisis or peacekeeping missions anywhere across the continent. Apart from the US trainers, Belgian armed forces will also fly to Kenya their C-130 aircraft as part of a specialized training on humanitarian air operations for members of the Kenyan Air Force. |
