Kenyan President Reiterates One China PolicyKenyan President Daniel arap Moi on Thursday reiterated Kenya's stance on the One China policy when he met with visiting Chinese Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Yang Wenchang at State House in Nairobi.Kenya and China enjoy good cooperation in trade and economic fields as well as in issues concerning African and international affairs, Moi said. He expressed thanks to China's assistance to Kenya, citing the building of the international sports center and roads in the country, and welcomed more exchanges in the fields of cultural and education between the two countries. The president urged Chinese companies to invest more in Kenya to promote the country's economic development. Yang, who arrived here Wednesday for a five-day visit to Kenya, said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the development of friendly relations between China and Kenya, and hoped such relations be further enhanced. Present on the occasion were Kenya's Minister for Foreign Affairs Bonaya Godana and Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Du Qiwen. |
