LPG Gas-filling Stations in Beijing

Beijing, the national capital, has managed to increase the number of LPG gas-filling stations to meet the needs of the dual-fuel vehicles, of which the majority are taxis, said a municipal government official.

At present, the city has 46 such stations providing fuel to more than 26,000 taxis, which are able to burn both gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The official described the number as proportionate to the growth of gas stations in Beijing.

As the trial city in China's "Clean Fuel Automobile" campaign launched in 1999, Beijing has opened LPG stations to public investment. But investors are limited to domestic legal entities.
