Pak President, CE Stand for Enhanced Pak-China FriendshipPakistani President Muhammad Rafiq Tarar and Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf Wednesday said that there are solid-based relations of cooperation between Pakistan and China in economic, scientific and technical fields, hoping such relations to be further enhanced.They made the remarks while receiving separately a Chinese Government Delegation headed by Liu Jibin, Minister of Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. President Tarar said that Pak-Chinese friendship is based on mutual trust. The two countries have supported each other in international affairs; Pakistan has always maintained one-China policy, and friendship between the two countries is very important for maintaining security and stability in the region. He said that this year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, now comes the inauguration of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant -- a result of Pak-Chinese cooperation in peaceful using of nuclear energy. General Musharraf said that Pakistan and China are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them, the inauguration of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant is a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He expressed thanks for China's support to Pakistan in various domains, particularly in the peaceful using of nuclear power. Liu Jibin conveyed a letter of greetings from Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji on the inauguration of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant. The Chinese Government Delegation arrived here on Monday to attend the inauguration ceremony of the plant scheduled on Thursday.
