China Holds Asia's Largest Int'l Clothing & Accessories Fair
The Ninth China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC), the largest of its kind in Asia, opened Wednesday.
The exhibition area covers 45,000 square meters. About 700 domestic and overseas garment companies are displaying their latest styles of clothing and accessories.
The expo's spokesman Chen Xiaopeng said that pavilions set up by firms from the United States, Italy, France, Japan, South Korea and Germany covers about 5,000 square meters.
Chen estimated that the number of visitors will total 50,000 to 80,000, most of whom will be industry observers, suppliers, agents and retailers.
The exhibition has been an annual event since 1993.
