Tokyo's Cherry Trees in Full Bloom

Cherry trees in downtown Tokyo came into full bloom Wednesday, eight days faster than average and nine faster than last year, the National Meteorological Agency said.

Amid spring temperature soaring to max 17 degree Celsius (63 F) Tuesday in Tokyo, nearly 100,000 people flocked to the Ueno Park in the capital, one of several places in town noted for cherry-blossom viewing.
