DPRK Vice Foreign Minister to Visit France

Vice Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Choe Sun-Hon will pay a visit to France on April 1-4, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported on Monday.

Choe will talk with the French Foreign Ministry official in charge of Asian affairs and with members of the French Parliament. He is also scheduled to meet French entrepreneurs, the AFP quoted Foreign Ministry deputy spokesman Bernard Valero as saying.

The meetings are part of a political dialogue established between the two countries last November, when French Foreign Ministry director of Asian affairs visited Pyongyang, said Valero.

"It will be a step forward in the development of political dialogue" between the two countries, he added.

France and Ireland remain the only countries in the European Union that have not established diplomatic relations with the DPRK.
