NPC Chairman Meets Cambodian Senate PresidentLi said China and Cambodia have a history of friendly contacts lasting more then 2,000 years and since the founding of New China, their relations, initiated and fostered by King Norodom Sihanouk and Chinese leaders of the elder generation, have withstood various tests and witnessed a steady progress. Sino-Cambodian friendship, based on the five principles of peaceful co-existence, enjoys a solid foundation and is becoming closer, Li said, referring to the frequent high-level contacts at different bilateral or multi-lateral occasions and the increasing cooperation in all fields. The two countries have always respected and supported each other and treated each other on an equal basis, Li said, adding China highly appreciates Cambodia's pursuit of the One-China policy and its support to China's reunification cause.
