Reception Marks 30th Anniversary of Sino-Cameroon Ties

A reception was held Monday to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Cameroon.

The reception was jointly sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Chinese-African People's Friendship Association (CAPFA).

Speaking at the occasion, CPAFFC's Vice President Wang Yunze said that China and Cameroon have developed their friendly relations on the basis of equal treatment, sincere friendship, cooperation and common development.

The two countries have shared identical views on major international issues, and have cooperated and supported each other in many areas. He said that he expects concerted efforts from both sides to further grow in the bilateral ties.

Cameroonian Ambassador to China Eleih-Elle Etian said that the Cameroon-China ties have been ushered into a new era thanks to frequent high-level exchanges. He reiterated that Cameroon will adhere to the One-China policy.

More than 60 guests from China and Cameroon, including Sun Fuling, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the reception.
