New Gene Identification Card Developed in Central China

A kind of new identification card with gene technology, which can distinguish a person from 10 billion, has recently been developed in central China's Hubei Province.กก

A baby, Lu Jingxuan, born on July 13, 2000, became China's first citizen possessing this kind of identification card, according to the card's developer, Gene Diagnosis Center of the Zhongnan Hospital, affiliated with Wuhan University.กก

The card, with 18 geneloci (gene locations), can represent the characteristics of a person, and can not be duplicated, experts say.กก

The card is especially designed for children and grownups. In addition to name, photo, blood type, gender, birthday and 18 geneloci, the children's card also includes parents' names to prevent from loss.กก
