Djiboutian President Visits Shenzhen
Visiting President Ismail Omar Guelleh of the Republic of Djibouti arrived in this major city in south China's Guangdong Province late Saturday afternoon from Chongqing, southwest China.
During a meeting with Guelleh, Shenzhen Mayor Yu Youjun briefed the guests on the city's economic development.
Djibouti, as a developing country, values Shenzhen's experience, said Guelleh. He reiterated that the Djiboutian people will continue to support the Chinese people in their just cause, and wish to further strengthen ties with China, particularly in the political, trade and economic sectors.
Shenzhen is the third leg of Guelleh's six-day China visit at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin.
