Beijing to Host Asia's Largest Fashion Show

The 10th China International Clothing and Accessories Fair, the largest of its kind in Asia, is scheduled to be held at the end of this month.

The state capital has just organized a fashion design contest in casual war and witnessed this year's first important fashion show -- the Spring Collection of the esteemed Finland scarf designer Marja Kurki.

The textile and clothing dealers at another two fairs held in Shanghai and Guangzhou this year have also reports business success, today's China Daily reports.

There are at least 40 more such fairs to come throughout the country this year, said Li Xin, a senior official with the China Fashion Designers' Association, according to the newspaper.
