US Organization to Hold Annual Meeting in Beijing

This Chinese national capital of Beijing will be the venue for this year's annual international meeting of the Finance, Credit and International Business (FCIB), an export promotion organization from the United States.

Previously, the annual international meeting of FCIB was held in New York in the United States.

While making the announcement in Beijing, FCIB Chairman Kenneth F. Garrison Jr. said the meeting would be held from May 10-12 and would become an important activity of the fourth Beijing International High Tech Industry Week and Beijing International Science and Technology Fair.

The meeting will be jointly held by FCIB and the organizing committee of the Beijing International High-Tech Industry Week, said the FCIB chairman. There will be more than 300 people, including high-ranking officials from international organizations, economists of world fame, government officials from China and the United States, some FCIB members, foreign trade and banking representatives from a dozen countries and regions attending the meeting.

During the meeting, participants will discuss issues regarding finance, credit and laws in the import and export of high-tech commodities, including means of payment and choices of terms in international trade, analysis of national risks, litigation and bankruptcy and standards of international accounting.

The FCIB was formed in 1919, and is a membership organization that has established business ties with more than 850 companies from 30 countries.
