Beijing to Hold Global CEO Forum

Beijing is to sponsor a forum inviting chief executive officers (CEO) of world famous companies to discuss new development opportunities and challenges exposed to China and the world in economy globalization.

The forum, held during the 2001 International High-Tech Industries Week, will seek for ways for more exchanges, cooperation and mutual development between China and the world, according to SinoProjects.com. and the organizing committee of the forum.

The cooperation and exchanges are involving industries and business ranging from electronics, telecommunications, biological engineering, environment protection, finance and insurance, new energy sources and many other high-tech sectors,

The organizing committee has now received registration application of world renowned companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Ericsson Group, Nokia, Bank of Montreal Group of Companies, Bank of Tokyo- Mitsubishi, Procter and Gamble, Itochu Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Arthurandersen, Caterpillar, PWC, DowJones, Dell,Siemens, Electrolux Group and others.

It is learned that the topics on the forum will cover future trend in the globalization of world economy, impact of WTO Entry upon China, strategic development of multinationals in their core technologies, high-tech, consulting and financing services, direct investment strategies of multinationals and prospects of high- technology in China.

Sources show that the forum will actively serve as an indispensable part of 2001 China (Beijing) International High-tech Industries Week, scheduled for commencement in May.

The 2001 China (Beijing) International High-tech Industries Week will witness the presence of directors and CEOs from world famous enterprises including ABB Group, Bank of Montreal of Companies, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Bouygues Group, Dlectricite de France, and Ericsson.
