Palestinian Officer Killed in Israeli Bombing

A Palestinian officer was killed and at least two others wounded late Wednesday in the Gaza Strip when the Israeli army shelled a training base for Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's bodyguards, Palestinian sources said.

Israeli tanks are said to have fired shells at the training base south of Gaza in response to Palestinian shells at the Jewish settlement of Netzarim. But the Palestinian side denied the settlement was targeted.
