US, Japan, South Korea to Coordinate Policy on DPRK
Representatives from the United States, South Korea and Japan will meet next week in Seoul to coordinate policy toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the State Department announced on Wednesday.
"The Trilateral Coordination and Oversight Group will meet in Seoul, South Korea, on March 26th," State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said in a brief statement.
He said delegations from the three sides will discuss a range of issues in their ongoing coordination of policy towards DPRK.
Boucher said that the one-day meeting, the first of its kind since the Bush administration assumed office on January 20, is " part of a continuing process" as the new administration reviews its policy toward the Korean peninsula.
