International Machine Tool Giants to Gather in China
The Seventh China International Machine Tools Show will kick-off on April 19, highlighting the best high-tech machine tools and machine tool manufacturers from around the world.
"The show ranks fourth in the relevant international market," according to the organizer from China International Exhibition Center (CIEC).
Experts estimate that the exhibition will create more favorable opportunities for the participants before China's imminent entry into World Trade Organization. The rapid economic growth and the international fame will attract visitors from home and abroad.
Up to now, over 1,000 machine tool companies from 25 countries and regions have registered for the show.
The show will especially supply advanced machine tools and equipment for the western areas. The implementation of the developing western areas strategy and the operation of the major projects there have provided a potential market for the machine tools.
"West China is an important base for the machine tool industry, with a bunch of backbone enterprises. The show will provide more international cooperation for the area," said Yu Chengting, president of China Machine Tool and Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA).
The exhibition will be a window of China's latest achievement in machine tools, featuring high speed, complication, intelligence and environmentally friendly.
"The show will innovate the traditional opening ceremony by inviting 12 representatives from famous companies to cut the ribbon." an official from CIEC said.
