All Out in Support of Beijing's 2008 Olympic Bid

March 19, Panda Square of Chengdu City, capital of Sichuan Province, a weeklong exhibition titled "ecology, environment and civilization" was kicked off. Some 10,000 maples were planted, named Green Olympic Bid Forest.

Public concern must be aroused over environment protection and green consumption as a saying quoted from the man in charge of the tree planting. So a multitude of signatures were collected in support of Beijing's bid for 2008 Olympics. People are very active at the site. An elder man said Beijing's Olympic bid is the business of every Chinese national like him and as a citizen of Chengdu he is to fulfill his obligation.

It is reported that behavior art, singing, drawing and calligraphy by juveniles and other events related to ecosystem construction will be held in this week.
