Shanghai to Erect a 168m Skyscraper
Shanghai
is going to build an ultra-high skyscraper in Pudong at the end of 2002. Sources say that the architecture feat is to be 168m high, 53 storied and will be built on the Huangpu River bank in the vicinity of Lujiazui in Pudong as the first towering structure among the seven ultra-high skyscrapers under construction at Shimao Seaside Garden. So far, China has found no precedent in projecting such a giant architectural complex in Shanghai.
