Natural Gas Exploitation Benefit Farmers, Herdsman
Abundant natural gas reserves found in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has brought great changes to the traditional life of local farmers and herdsman.
Sebadijar is the first one to use natural gas as fuel at Uxin Banner of Ih Ju League. "It is clean and convenient, and I don't have to worry about clearing coal ashes," he said jauntily.
Among 5,000 residents at Dabqig town of Uxin Banner, about 1,300 have utilized the natural gas.
Last year, China discovered a large natural gas area with reserves estimated at 700 billion cubic meters in Ih Ju League.
Exploration results show that the Ih Ju gas area is rich in high-yield natural gas resources, and is able to provide more gas resources for the country's gigantic West-to-East Gas Transmission Project.
Wang Zhiping, government leader with Uxin Banner, said the local government will further exploit the natural gas resources by establishing related plants dealing with construction materials and other industrial products.
The government will make strategic development plan for the resource and try to bring as much as possible benefit to the people's life, said the official.
