Senior CPC Official Meets Former US Secretary of State Kissinger

Jia Qinglin, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Monday with former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, highly appreciating the efforts Kissinger has made in the development of China-US relations.

Jia, also secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, said he hoped the former secretary of state would continue to play an active role in promoting Sino-US relations.

Dr. Kissinger and his America-China Society delegation arrived here last Thursday as guest of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
