CPPCC Proposals Passed to Relevant Units
The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has passed more than 3,000 proposals by its members to relevant units for processing.
It was done at a CPPCC National Committee meeting Monday, at which Vice-Chairman Ye Xuanping urged the units to do a good job in handling these proposals.
It is one of the major functions of the CPPCC to raise comments and suggestions on behalf of the people from all circles, and properly handling the CPPCC members' proposals concerns the implementation of the policy to serve the people, Ye said.
The Fourth Session of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee, held March 3-12, received a total of 3,585 proposals, 3,442 of which have been handed over to related departments which are required to give a reply before the end of August or three months after receiving the papers.
