Int'l Fashion Model Competition to Be Held in Shanghai
More than 2,000 domestic and overseas fashion models, including some 800 men, will participate in the Shanghai International Fashion Model Competition, scheduled for April.
This is the first time the annual competition, initiated in 1995, will be open to male models.
The prize for the gold medalist at the competition is set at 10,000 US dollars, the highest ever offered in China's fashion circles, according to competition organizers.
The organizers said that they are expecting more overseas models to join the competition, including those from Britain, the Philippines, Singapore, and the Republic of Korea.
Fashion shows held at the same time will feature sportswear and casual styles.
