Liaoning Ties Shandong Scoreless in Chinese First Division
Liaoning
Fushun left two injured ace players on the bench but still managed to hold
Shandong
Luneng to a 0-0 draw in a second-round match of Chinese Soccer First Division on Saturday.
Shandong Luneng dominated most of the match but were unable to break through home side's defense. Their best score chance came in the 41st minute, but Cha kejun's close-range shot went a bit wide.
After the match, Liaoning's coach Wang Hongli said except the absence of their star striker Zhang yuning and Li yao, his team still performed brilliantly.
The game was played one day before the schedule because Shandong Luneng will take part in the Asian Soccer Club Championships next week.
