CPC delegation Leaves Laos

A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Luo Gan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, left in Vientiane Saturday morning after ending a week-long visit to the country.

Luo and his entourage were seen off by Choumali Saignakon, member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), who is also Lao deputy premier and defense minister, and other high-ranking Lao party and state officials, at the Vientiane International Airport.

During the visit which began on March 11, the delegation attended the Seventh LDRP Congress which was held here between March 12 and 14, and met LDRP president Khamtay Siphandone.

Luo and Khamtay agreed that the two parties and two countries will continue to jointly strengthen friendly exchange and cooperation, and work together unremittingly for developing more intimate and friendly Sino-Lao ties in the 21st century.

Luo's entourage includes Wang Jiarui, deputy head of the CPC International Department.
