Bush to Meet Annan Next Week
U.S. President George W. Bush will meet U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan on March 23, the White House announced Friday.
White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the two leaders will discuss a range of issues of mutual concern in their first meeting since Bush took power.
"The United Nations has an important role to play in international affairs, and the president looks forward to his meeting with Secretary-General Annan," he said.
