Representatives Show Interest in Guizhou's Tourism Resources

International airline and travel agency representatives consider southwest China's Guizhou Province a new tourism "gold mine".

A delegation including 37 representatives of airlines and travel agencies from all over the world arrived in this capital of Guizhou on Friday, and began a three-day investigation tour of the province's tourism resources.

Guo Shuqing, deputy governor of Guizhou, met with the representatives the same day, saying that both the natural and cultural attractions of Guizhou are being maintined in pristine condition.

"Here you can see villages that look almost the same as they did 500 to 600 years ago," Guo said.

Guizhou has long been famous for its spectacular karst landscapes and one of the world's most splendid waterfalls -- the Huangguoshu Falls.
