US Secretary of State to Visit Vietnam This Year
US Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Thursday that he will visit
Vietnam
later this year.
"I plan to visit Vietnam later in the year for meetings," Powell said at a hearing of the House Budget Committee.
Though the secretary of state did not specify, he is expected to attend a meeting between foreign ministers of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and dialogue partners scheduled for July in Hanoi.
