The Forum on Consumers' Rights Protection will soon be launched in Shanghai, China's leading commercial center, sources said.
The forum will be sponsored by China Consumers' Rights Protection Fund, aiming to help set up an orderly market and protect consumers' legal rights and enterprises' as well, according to Niu Hongrui, deputy director of the fund.
The first forum will focus on heated problems such as: How to deal with fake yet not shoddy products? How to protect consumers' rights in buying large and expensive items like a car or a house.
The forum will become a permanent organization to serve consumers and enterprises through means of discussions, the website for consumers' rights protection and public activities, Li Yaohua, a forum official, said.
