Wang Fei Appointed Head Coach of Chinese Men's Basketball Team
Wang Fei, coach of Bayi Rockets team, will take up the post of head coach of the national Chinese men's basketball team. The Basketball Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports released the news on March 14.
Under the leadership of the team committee the new head coach will be responsible for the work of the team. Members of the team committee consists of officials of the Basketball Sports Management Center, head coach, team leader, and some members of the coach group including the head coach, assistant coaches, skill instructors, special coaches, team doctors, and scientific research personnel. The engaged foreign coaches or special skill coaches will be responsible for targeted short-term training of the players.
The Chinese men's basketball team is reported to assemble for training in the first ten days of April in preparation for the East Asian Games in May. The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) is now busy selecting players and other coaches for the team.
