This nature reserve covers the sources of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers, with a total area of 31.8 million hectares. The Lancang River, originating in the Tangula Mountains in the nature reserve, is named Mekong after it enters into Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia. |
