Bridge Being Built to Increase Traffic on Major Railway Line

Work on a 2,079 meter long bridge began recently in Bengbu, a major city in east China's Anhui Province, to help increase train traffic on the country's major railway line between Beijing and Shanghai.

The bridge, to span the Huaihe River will be completed in two years.

The total cost of building the bridge is estimated at 186 million yuan (US$ 23 million).
