Underground palace in Ruins of Leifeng Pagoda disclosed in Hangzhou

Archaeologists show a bronze Buddha statue, one of the eight cultural relics unearthed from the palace that had been sealed for more than 1,000 years beneath the ruins of Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province March 11, 2001. The Buddha with two lotus bases and a dragon carving, is measured 68 centimeters long. It is a first-class state protection relic.
