Bridge Being Built to Increase Traffic on Major Railway Line
Work on a 2,079 meter long bridge began recently in Bengbu, a major city in east China's
Anhui
Province, to help increase train traffic on the country's major railway line between
Beijing
and
Shanghai
.
The bridge, to span the Huaihe River will be completed in two years.
The total cost of building the bridge is estimated at 186 million yuan (US$ 23 million).
