A giant porcelain kettle -- 3 meters high, 1.8 meters in diameter and weighting 1.5 tons -- was recently created in east China's Shandong province.
The craftsmen of the kettle spent seven days firing it after six months of experimental work.
According to the Huaguang Porcelain Group, located in Zibo city, who financed and made the giant kettle, it is probably the largest of its kind in the world.
The source told Xinhua that they have named the kettle "The Great China Dragon Kettle" because the two dragon embossments around the outer surface of the kettle and the whole kettle is made with exquisite craftsmanship. However, the source did not explain why they made the kettle.
