CPC Delegation Leaves for Laos

A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) left here Saturday for Vientiane, capital of Laos, to attend the seventh national congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), scheduled for March 12-24. The delegation is led by Luo Gan, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and also a member of its secretariat.

Members of the delegation include Wang Jiarui, deputy head of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, and Liu Zhengxiu, Chinese Ambassador to Laos ( who is already in Laos).

The delegation made the visit at the invitation of the Central Committee of the LPRP.

Among those seeing the delegation off at the airport were Dai Bingguo, head of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, Jiang Yikang, deputy director of the General Office of CPC Central Committee, and Thongsavanh Phomvihane, interim Charge d'affair of the Lao Embassy to China.
