Cambodia to Open Embassy in South Korea

Cambodia's Foreign Minister Hor Namhong Wednesday told a South Korean delegation that Cambodia will open Embassy in South Korea before a state visit of Prime Minister Hun Sen to the country in April.

Hun Sen's official trip in early April will be his first to the county since he was re-elected prime minister in 1998, foreign ministry's officials said.

the delegation was led by Lee Kyung Woo, secretary general of South Korean Bidding Committee for 2010 World Exhibition.

Diplomatic relation between South Korea and Cambodia was cut off in 1970s due to civil war in Cambodia, but was re-linked in 1997.
