Shanghai to Host International Auto ShowThe Ninth Shanghai International Automotive Industry Show is scheduled to be held for June 17-24 in Shanghai.Some 500 domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers, including Aeolux Automotive, Chongqing Chang'an, Shanghai Automotive, BMW, Citroen, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Honda will attend the eight-day exposition. Attending the show are many auto part and accessory manufacturers from China, Germany, French, Italy and the United States. On display at an exhibition area of 43,000 square meters are various new model cars, buses, trucks, and special motor vehicles. There will also be seminars on environmental protection and the automobile's effects. The exhibition first started in 1985. Last year, nearly 460 automobile manufacturers from 21 countries and regions worldwide attended the exhibition, which attracted more than 300,000 visitors. |
