Construction of Nanjing - Hangzhou Expressway Fully Started
The construction of Ning/Hang (Nanjing-Hangzhou) Expressway was set off on a full scale at the beginning of March.
Since last July, the construction of the Ning/Hang Expressway has brought to finish around one tenth of the project with an investment of 113 million yuan. So far, the construction teams have all entered onto the scene of the work-site.
According to the program, this year is to finish the earthwork of digging and filling for roadbed and the skeleton construction of the lower part of bridges. Aside from it, a 50 percent construction of the upper part is also to be completed. As sources say, Ning/Hang Expressway is to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2003.
