An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter Scale hit areas near Yak Slope in Nyima County, southwest China's
Tibet
Autonomous Region, at 23:50 hours Monday (
Beijing
Time), according to the China Seismological Bureau.
The epicenter was located in the place of 34.2 degrees north latitude and 86.5 degrees east longitude.
No details about the damage caused by the earthquake are available at press time.
