China Returns or Destroys Arrived EU-made Animal Feeds
China's State Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, General Administration of Customs, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and State Environmental Protection Administration recently published a notice on handling the arrived EU-made animal feeds.
The notice requires that the arrived EU-made feeds which are made be animal byproducts shall be returned as soon as possible; those cannot be returned shall be destroyed. Importers of the arrived feeds shall contact the exit-entry inspection and quarantine bureaus of the entry port and local customhouses and go through related procedures. Customhouses permit transfer and wind up the case according to relevant transacting notices issued by exit-entry inspection and quarantine bureaus. The places and facilities for destroying action are to be arranged by importing units, the arrangement, however, shall be approved by local exit-entry inspection and quarantine bureaus, local environmental protection administrations and local feeds administrations. Cost for destroying the EU-made animal feeds is to be borne by the importers.
