525 Kilograms of Explosives Seized in Colombia

The Colombian army on Saturday seized 525 kilograms of explosive, known as "Superanfor," in rural areas of Pauna in the west of the central state of Boyaca, an officer said.

Fabio Bedoya Correa, commander of the First Brigade headquartered in Tunja, capital of Boyaca, said that 8,783 rounds of ammunitions for guns of different caliber, as well as hand- and assault-rifle grenades were also seized during an operation against Front Eleven of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

In addition, military gear and some documents saying the guerrillas were about to commit "criminal actions" were seized, he said.
