Annan to Visit Nepal on March 12
The United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan is visiting
Nepal
on March 12 as part of his South Asian tour that also includes Pakistan,
Bangladesh
and
India
, Nepali Foreign Ministry source said Sunday.
Gyan Acharya, Joint Secretary at the ministry, confirmed that Annan is visiting Nepal but he said the visit schedule is still being prepared.
Earlier reports said that Annan's South Asian tour would skip Nepal.
Annan is expected to arrive in Pakistan on March 10 and wind up his South Asian visit on March 18 after visiting India.
