Senior CPC Official Watches Anti-Corruption Opera

Senior CPC Official Watches Anti-Corruption Opera
Wei Jianxing, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Friday evening watched a local opera with the theme of fighting corruption, together with 1,000 local residents.

Popular in east China's Shandong Province, the Luju Opera with the title of "Crystal-clear Running Water" was performed by the art troupe of Shandong's Weifang City.

The opera depicts a CPC cadre in a rural area battling corruption and abuse of power.

Prior to the performance, Wei met with the artists.
