Perez conveyed to Jiang the kind regards from President Castro and Jiang also asked Perez to convey best wishes to his Cuban counterpart. Perez was impressed with the great achievements made by the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), the government and the people in economic development. China's success has greatly encouraged the common developing countries and Cuba believes that the Chinese people, under the leadership of the CPC with Jiang at the core, would achieve even greater results. He reiterated that Cuba will, as always, support the just cause of the Chinese people in realizing a complete reunification of the country. Cuba is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in all fields through concerted efforts. The foreign minister is currently on a seven-day official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Tang Jiaxuan. |
